Each week, the downtown River Street area comes alive with vendors, live music, food, activities, and more. As we continue to grow and evolve our programming, we'd love to have you join us for what is shaping up to be our best season yet!Â

June 24th - Locals Night Live
Kick off the Evenings on River Street series with Locals Night Live! a celebration of the community, connections, and familiar faces that make this area feel like home. Enjoy a high-energy performance by Levi Britton as you stroll, unwind, and step into the spirit of summer together.
July 1st - Salute to Stars and Stripes
America turns 250! Celebrate the Semi quincentennial with your neighbors at our Red, White, and Blue bash, featuring J. Hobbs bringing the best of vintage rock and roll to life — music that captures the true spirit of the American golden era.Â
July 8th - Lakeshore Leisure
Explore the best of the outdoors with nature and wellness-focused activities, talks, and vendors! Relax and unwind to the warm, easygoing sounds of Little Dippers, whose laid-back country melodies are the perfect soundtrack for a summer evening by the lake.
July 15th - Art All Around
Celebrate the creativity of local artists and makers with an evening dedicated to the arts. This special night will feature two bands bringing energy to both ends of River Street. Nick Vasquez, singer and songwriter, will bring his high-energy performance style to downtown Elk Rapids, while TC Knuckleheads will keep the crowd moving with their fun-loving mix of rock and roll and rhythm and blues. Guests can also enjoy interactive art activities and experiences for all ages throughout the evening.
July 22nd - River Street Roots
Join us as we tip our hats to our roots with local farms, agriculture, history talks, tractors, and activities! Dags und Timmah! bring their irresistible, foot-stomping sound to the stage!
July 29th - Kids Connection
Designed with families in mind, this evening will feature games, activities, and interactive fun for all ages. Two bands will perform throughout the night, bringing music to both ends of River Street. Sweetwater Blues Band will keep the energy high with crowd-pleasing blues favorites, while ShortStop — a power trio made up of three 14-year-old musicians from Elk Rapids — will showcase a mix of popular covers and original songs. Come out and support these talented local entertainers.
August 5th - Harbor Days Kick-Off
Launch the annual Harbor Days celebration with a special performance by the legendary Jelly Roll Blues Band, setting the tone for a week of festivities and community celebration. ShortStop will also return to help kick off Harbor Days and keep the celebration going throughout the evening.

Looking for a fun way to get involved in the community? Consider volunteering at one of the Elk Rapids Area Chamber of Commerce events this season! From helping at our Arts & Crafts Shows to joining the fun at Evenings on River Street, volunteers play a huge role in making these events successful.
