The Elk Rapids area is rich in culture. You’ll frequently find arts and crafts shows around town. The Art Beat happens twice each year. There is a fine arts juried show every June.
Art Rapids, a cultural organization that helps to entertain the community sponsors a free community a concerts in the gazebo on Sunday afternoons and the Seed Gallery hosts frequent music concerts.

Theatrical and musical performances are held by the Historic Elk Rapids Town Hall Association (HERTHA). Designed by Charles H. Peale and built in 1883, the Historic Elk Rapids Town Hall is the premier area venue for events of all kinds, including meetings, presentations and fundraisers. You’ll find the Elk Rapids Players, the local thespian group, there.
