Beautiful sandy beaches naturally surround Elk Rapids. The area is centered between Traverse City and Charlevoix in northern Michigan, along some of the most magnificent shoreline in Michigan.

Elk Rapids Veterans Memorial Park – Located on River Street downtown, the park offers something for everyone. A fabulous sandy beach, basketball courts, tennis courts, a play area with swings and slides, restrooms, picnic tables, and barbeques. The swim area is also fantastic, shielded from the larger open waters of Grand Traverse Bay, making for a truly enjoyable experience for all ages.

Elk Rapids Dam Beach – The white sandy beach open to East Grand Traverse Bay and is located adjacent to the Elk Rapids Dam off Dexter Street.  It is the last untouched beach in Elk Rapids.

Elk Rapids Day Park – The 13-acre park offers a large beach, a bathhouse, restrooms, and nature trails.  Located on S. Bayshore on the south end of town.

You’ll find plenty of beachfront along the area’s abundant, fresh waterways created by the chain of lakes.  A multitude of condos and homes are available for you to rent and purchase on or near the water’s edge.
